As an “old millennial”, Juanita has experienced the world of work both as how it used to be, as well as where it has already shifted to. In running her own company, she draws inspiration from both those who remember the usual, and those that are creating the unusual.

Alan Knott-Craig

Alan Knott-Craig is a successful entrepreneur, best-selling author, chairman of HeroTel, a wireless broadband provider, and founder of Project Isizwe, an NGO rolling out free WiFi in poor communities.

Originally from Pretoria, he studied at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (formerly UPE) and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002 and has subsequently invested or funded 21 companies in the tech industry.

Alan was named as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2009. Forbes listed him as one of the top 10 young African millionaires to watch. He was also included in “100 Choiseul Africa", a list of top 100 young African business leaders in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and nominated as the 2015 ICT Personality of the Year by ITWeb.

Mummy Mthembu-Fawkes

Mummy Mthembu-Fawkes is a sought-after young successful entrepreneur, industry pioneer, business speaker, highly regarded social media and branding strategist, MC, accredited facilitator and business coach.

Without any formal university qualifications, an ambitious and determined Mummy had the power of choice; she decided to not let circumstances get in the way of her dreams. Successfully climbing the corporate ladder landing her in specialist, strategic and leadership roles within the telecommunications and IT sector. She has been the head of business development for South Africa’s second largest Internet Service Provider, and senior Sales accounts manager for the largest telecommunications company in Africa to name a few.

Lynn Baker has clearly defined outcomes for her keynote speeches; to educate and inspire audience members to move beyond just delivering customer service to driving customer experience.Her fast-paced and visually dynamic presentations include examples of how Disney, Amazon, BMW and other successful companies are focusing on ‘Customer Experience’ to drive sales, increase customer retention, reduce churn, increase market share and more importantly, inculcate employee engagement.

In 2006 Lynn attended the Disney Institute Quality Service course at Disneyland, Florida and subsequently implemented many of the Disney Service philosophies at Montecasino Corporate Events, which she ran for 10 years.In 2016, she attended a Customer Experience Masterclass in Dubai, giving her further insight into the key elements of CX, including the critical aspect of employee engagement in a successful customer experience strategy.

Dr Rutendo Hwindingwi

Dr Rutendo Hwindingwi has an insatiable desire to see the exponential growth of business in Africa through the development of Africa’s greatest resource – its people.
Rutendo is an ‘AfroRealist’ who speaks to businesses that are wanting to expand into the African continent providing key ‘nuggets’ on how they can meander through its turbulent socio, political and economic landscape. He highlights the necessity for innovation by talking on how Africa is ‘leapfrogging’ most of its challenges with the adoption of technology.
In his keynote, Rutendo defines AI – African Intelligence and why it is the next best thing for Africa. Rutendo is an Associate Director at one of the ‘Big 4’ auditing and consulting firms and a former Executive at Sage Africa. He has over 18 years’ experience in business development and leadership on the African continent.
