The Cape Town water crisis is a shock realisation that the effects of Climate Change on Africa are already here and wreaking havoc on every aspect of our lives.

The events industry cannot afford to naively stand by and ignore the impact events make on the environment, eco systems and climate change.

Climate change demands that the events industry implement greener practices to prevent further damage to our environment. Once the negative impacts of our industry are acknowledged and understood, event organisers can make more sustainable choices, reduce costs, enhance brands, build reputations and demonstrate responsible citizenship.

EON's Climate Change & Responsible Eventing Workshop is professional and practical, based on international and local best practice, Lorraine’s actual experiences and ongoing research.

The main objective is that attendees leave well-informed, encouraged, inspired and with the knowledge of how to implement sustainability in their events.
