"The Rock Star of Public Speaking..."
John Howard, Former Prime Minister of Australia

President Thabo Mbeki, in 2004, said: "We need a South Africa that will produce more Vusi's!" Described by the convenors of Australia Top 16 as "the world's youngest and most impressive public speaker", Vusi has secured his place as the one of the most memorable speakers in the lan.

Born to a humble family in Benoni ("it is the only thing he & Charlise Theron have in common") his public speaking started at high school where he was able to compete with the best young public speakers from all-over the world. During the international finals of the world-renowned English Speaking Union Public Speaking Competition the audience awarded him the prestigious "The Audience Favourite Speaker" prize.

Later that year Vusi received an invitation to compete in the Australian Top 16 – held in New South Wales. This platform – convened every 5 years - sees the top 16 speakers from all over the world battling it out for top honours .Vusi - the youngest speaker & only African ever invited to this colossal gathering - rose to the challenge, won the competition and with it, the honour of a 3-week speaking tour of the "land down under".

Fondly referred to as the "Rock Star of Public Speaking" by former Australian Prime Minister John Howard, his personal highlights include having given an address to the Australian Houses of Parliament; speaking at the British House of Commons, meeting former President Nelson Mandela and MCing the coveted Assegais Awards in 2008. Vusi is a black-belt martial arts exponent (for two consecutive years a national champion).

Described by Nelson Mandela as "A true reflection of the freedom for which we fought" Vusi Thembekwayo is a treat.
In November of 2008, Vusi was honoured as a finalist of the Black Business Quarterly Entrepreneur of the Year award. His company was also honoured as finalist in the BEE business category. Dubbed an "entrepreneur extraordinaire" by the premium business magazine, The Deal, Vusi is also the highest ranking black executive in Africa's largest FMCG distributor where his mandate involves the management and direction of a multi-million rand division.
